Packaging your orders

How to package your orders to make your customers feel special. You spend hours making your items, taking photographs, pricing them up, writing descriptions, adding them into your shop. You then sell something and need to package and send and it's rush rush rush! But don't panic! You should allow yourself the appropriate amount of time for an order to be sent out, usually 1-3 business days(customers don't normally want to wait long to receive their item, unless it's made to order of course in that case, they know that and are willing to wait as it's personalised or more unique). Once it's ready to package and send, how do you package it??  Your packaging should be as professional looking as you can make it. Think tissue paper, ribbon, organza bags, hand written notes, a discount coupon and maybe even a surprise gift! Of course if it's delicate them make sure you use plenty of bubble wrap to make sure it's safe in transportation! Also try...

Tiddly om pom pom

Tiddly om pom pom   Hello I'm Catherine from Tiddly om pom pom and I started up my business a few months ago. I'm a very creative person and enjoyed adding my person touch to gifts for family & friends and wanted to take this further. I'd always wanted to have my own business and decided to give it a go and here we are. All the items I make feature pom poms and I'm also obsessed with rainbows so there's always lots of colour involved. If you see something you like but would like to tweak it just send me a message, I love custom orders. Links: Etsy shop Instagram

How to be successful at social media

How to be successful at social media Create a friendly atmosphere on your page and make it inviting for people viewing. Be polite, answer messages and reply to comments. Follow people back and make sure you like their images back too. Share the love! Make sure images are professional and have good lighting and a good clean background. You don't need to spend money on an expensive camera as most phones these days have decent camera's on them anyway. Just make sure you use it well by focusing on the item you are photographing. You can also use photo editing tools to make your photos look better. Just don't distort the colour too much otherwise it won't be true to real life.  Keep your descriptions relevant to the image and make sure you include an action for the viewer to take, like heading to your website or shop. On Instagram: Make sure you take advantage of the 30 hashtags you can use. Make them relevant and use ones that aren't so popular as thi...

Hello Sweetie

Hello Sweetie Here is a little bit of background about Laura Jayne and the story behind Hello Sweetie... I have always had a love for paper and anything creative from the moment I could pick up a pencil and draw. After studying Art & Design at College and Fashion Design at University, I went on to become a Footwear Designer for 10 years. My love for fashion and travel has always heavily influenced my work so I started making handmade cards as a hobby along side working as a full time Footwear Designer. This reminded me of my childhood and my passion for working with paper, so, I wanted to make a change... I think many of us have moments in time where we feel that life has been leading us to a moment (or direction) all along... Hello Sweetie is one of those life transitions for me... Inspirations & Motivations... My inspiration comes from life, travel and people. I always feel inspired by what and who is around me. Life is an inspi...
